TL;DR: I can scan images that won't look like crap now, so I'm going to rescan a few of my recent deviations and update them. Just a heads up.

So, my Mom is a nearly full-time eBay seller,  which means she has to print out lots of shipping labels and invoices. Because of this, she has three printers total.

The first is hooked to her desktop, it's kind of an all in one printer/scanner/fax machine, and what I've been using to scan my pictures for years.

The second is an inkjet, connected to my laptop, and no extras like scanning or faxing. It doesn't print in color, but the resulting image is insanely clean, so my Mom mostly uses it to print coupons.

The third was going to be a replacement for the first, but instead she connected it to her laptop. I thought it was a regular printer like the second one, but when I was showing her how the first printer's scanner somehow made a shade of blue into purple, she revealed the third printer actually has a scanner as well.

So, I tinkered around with it a bit, and basically it's magnitudes better than printer one's scanner. Printer one is a document scanner, you put the paper in the top and it scans it and spits it out at the bottom. Which meant whenever I wanted to rescan something, I'd have to go put it back in.

Printer three's scanner is a flat pane of glass you just stick your drawing on, and scan to your hearts content. Not to mention I was limited to standard printer paper size with printer one, but with printer three I can easily scan my 9x12 watercolor pages.

Not to mention it translates the colors beautifully. Check out this drawing:

This was scanned in printer three. Here's the same pic scanned with printer one:

...Yeah, why it turned that blue into purple I'l never know. But it's not the first time it's turned one color into a different one.

So, there's my long-ass story. Basically I'm going to rescan these three drawings:

and see if they come out better. I'll also have one new thing though, so, stay tuned?
