It took longer than I thought, but I finally finished deep cleaning my room. Usually when I clean, it's the surface. I get rid of an trash, dirty dishes, clothes, sweep the floor, all the stuff. But every now and then I get in the mood to do a "deep" clean where I go through all my stuff, including my shelf and closet and get rid of anything I don't need. To give you an idea of how rarely this happens, while I was cleaning I found numerous things I hadn't touched since at least 2013! It took four days getting everything off the shelves, cleaning the area, and figuring out what to keep.
I just finished putting everything away, so finally I can draw! I've been wanting to for the past few days, but I didn't want to start drawing and then lose my motivation to clean. Along with new drawings I also found a bunch of half-filled sketch books, so I might put up an art dump of some of the better drawings I found.
Anyway, a list of some of the things I'm going to draw:
Ribbunmon (#2 on here: <da:thumb id="629932878"/>)
Colored Pencil Tutorial
Comic on how Ammolite joined the Star Resistance
A fully colored picture of Spectrolite
Maya & Dmitri (My Pokemon Trainer Characters)
More of the Kantella, Ilterai, and Fwish
And probs a bunch other stuff???

I'm Not Dead!
I probably shouldn't be posting this when I'm dog tired and about to go to bed, but whatever.
Thanks to everyone who's still watching me, even though I've barely posted all year. The reason I've been on hiatus is that I lost all confidence in my art. I still haven't gotten it back. Truth is, I've been unhappy with my art for years. And no matter how much I practice or how many tutorials I read I can't seem to improve.
One thing I am happy with though, is sewing. I recently made Christmas presents for all my family members, and the ones where I got to sew were the most fun. So my account is probably going to take a turn from drawings into cr
Opinions Wanted! White Outline or Black Outline?
I'm still working on things for my Etsy, testing out sewing patterns and sketching designs. Which leads me to my question! On a sticker/keychain, do you prefer a white border or black border? Here's an example:
I've always done black borders, because I have this weirdly intense dislike of white outlined stickers. Seriously, even as a child I would take a pair of scissors to any sticker I got with a white border. I have no idea why I despise white outlines, but it subconsciously worked into my artwork and I made anything I was going to cut out have a thick black border.
Obviously other people don't share my weird bias, so I thought I'd see
I may be silent for a bit
This might sound ridiculous to some, but my depression has worsened a bit, and when that happens I tend to just curl into a ball and ignore the world. You see, one of my Cockatiels died yesterday.
She got a bacterial infection a month ago, and we took her to the vet again on Monday. The vet gave us another round of antibiotics for her, but otherwise didn't seem that concerned. We took her home and give her her first dose. I should've known something when she wouldn't eat, even when I put the plate of food right in front of her...
I put them to bed and covered their cage, and when I woke them up the next morning, she was on the bottom of th
My Quest for a Decent Computer
So you may have remembered from my last couple journals that my awesome computer of many years died, and I had to get a new one. The new one was a refurbished laptop, which apparently had a battery problem, but not really. We bought a new battery, and the company we bought it from sent us a new battery, and through all three batteries it could never stay on after being unplugged. Though hey, it was pretty funny to have a little popup say "Your battery is low (99% remaining)".
Anyway, we buy a new laptop, brand new this time, with a warranty. Send the refurbished one back, all well and good right? Except no, not really. This brand new one ca
